COMMITMENT: Jamari Brown makes it two in two days for Kentucky

The Cats picked up a commitment from defensive back Jamari Brown on Thursday, just one day after four-star cornerback Stanley Garner pledged to Kentucky.

He becomes the third defensive back commitment for Mark Stoops' program and the 18th commitment for the program overall.

Brown, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound cornerback from Pompano Beach (Fla.) Blanche Ely, had narrowed his list of choices to Kentucky, Auburn and Temple before making his choice. While not everything is known with regards to written offers, Brown did tweet out a written offer that he had also received from Pittsburgh.

Blanche Ely is the same school that was once home to wide receiver Therrell Gosier from the Class of 2015. Gosier committed to Kentucky but did not ultimately qualify.

Brown was part of a bus tour of prospects from Blanche Ely and other schools that visited Lexington over the summer for camp.

Stay tuned to Cats Illustrated for much more on Brown's commitment to Kentucky.
