Cats Pause Radio Show

The Cats' Pause Radio Hotline pulled holiday duty Monday night, touching on a variety of subjects breaking down Kentucky's season-opening 42-0 victory over Miami (Ohio) at Cincinnati's Paul Brown Stadium.
For the second consecutive season former Kentucky player Jeff Van Note joins Cats' Pause general manager Darrell Bird and senior staff writer Matt May for the first segment. Van Note has been a longtime broadcaster of football games and was an All-Pro with the National Football League's Atlanta Falcons. In this week's show he discusses what he liked about the Cats' performance, how dangerous it is to play offensive line in the wake of center Marcus Davis' season-ending injury and the difficulties of college quarterbacks making the transition to the NFL.

CatsIllustrated.com recruiting analyst Jeff Drummond spent the second segment talking recruiting, particularly the way UK's coaching staff is handling heralded freshmen quarterbacks Ryan Mossakowski and Morgan Newton.
The second half-hour of the show Darrell and Matt take on five things we learned from the Cats' opener, including Mike Hartline's tremendous effort against the RedHawks.
The podcast will be available every Tuesday here on CatsIllustrated.com for those who can't listen live. The original broadcast is from 8-9 p.m. on Monday nights at www.wlap.com. Also, each Friday Darrell and Matt will produce a video on CatsIllustrated.com looking at the happenings around the football team that week.
