Cats make top ten for DE Upshaw

Remember Regan Upshaw? If you're an NFL fan you probably do.

The former Clemson defensive end had a professional history that spanned much of the 1990's and early 2000's and now his son, Taylor Upshaw, is a rising senior recruit.

The younger Upshaw released a top ten list on Wednesday and Kentucky made it.

According to the social media graphic announcing Upshaw's favorites, the schools at the top of the defensive lineman's list are: Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Ole Miss, Clemson, Kentucky, Oklahoma, NC State and Louisville.

Upshaw's ties to Clemson are obvious but the list, as released, is not in any specific order as he announced in the same tweet. Upshaw also said he will still be open to other schools not in his top ten that might approach him.

Kentucky quarterbacks coach Darin Hinshaw is the area recruiter for Upshaw's territory in Florida, and he has been involved in the Cats' early courtship of the Bradenton (Fla.) Braden River prospect. Derrick LeBlanc has also been involved.
