Cats land 2016 QB Hoak

Just a week after Gunnar Hoak picked up his offer from Kentucky the three-star signal caller from Ohio committed to the Wildcats.
Hoak, a junior at Dublin (Ohio) Coffman, announced his decision via Twitter.

Cats Illustrated first reported that Hoak would be visiting Kentucky this weekend. He did so with his family. It was his second trip to Kentucky in the span of only a week. His first trip to Lexington was last weekend. That trip was also with family.
Hoak, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound prospect, had several other offers from the Mid-American Conference. His commitment ends Kentucky's drawn out search for a quarterback from the Class of 2016. He is Kentucky's first quarterback commitment since Drew Barker committed to Kentucky two years ago as part of the Class of 2014. Kentucky did not sign a quarterback in February.
Coffman is home to offensive tackle Alex Gellerstedt and linebacker Griffin Grady, two other players with UK offers that have visited Kentucky.
Dual-threat quarterback Tylin Oden was planning to visit Kentucky on Saturday but did not make the trip. It gradually became clear that Kentucky wanted Hoak to commit sooner rather than later. He was originally planning to commit to a school in June after the spring evaluation period, but obvious came to believe UK was the right option for him.
