Cats add another 2015 commitment

Kentucky is off to a faster start with the 2015 class than they were with the class before it. It's only January and two junior commitments are on board.
The first was Georgia athlete Montrell Custis. On Wednesday the Wildcats added another skilled player in defensive back Marcus Walker of Lake Wales (Fla.).

Walker's commitment is big but not entirely a surprise. The 6-foot, 175-pound safety, ranked the No. 15 prospect at his position according to Rivals.com, had long maintained that Kentucky was one of his top choices. The same has been true for his teammate, four-star center Luke Hiers.
Shortly after reports of Walker's commitment began to circulate he announced his commitment on his Twitter feed.
Walker lists offers from Florida, Vanderbilt, USF, UCF, UConn, Duke, UMass and Idaho.
At the time of Cats Illustrated's last interview with Walker, in late November, he listed Kentucky and Vanderbilt as his co-favorites. He indicated that both he and Hiers, who has listed UK as his favorite, wanted to make an early decision.
"We're still talking about it every now and then," Walker said at the time. "I think (Hiers) said he's going to be committing soon. I want to do it as soon as I take my ACT but it's a family decision. They don't care where I go."
