Calipari offers four-star guard and former Wisconsin commit Tyler Herro

Kentucky head coach John Calipari visited four-star guard and former Wisconsin commitment Tyler Herro on Tuesday.

What resulted was an offer, according to Rivals.com's Corey Evans.

The offer is clearly a big development for Kentucky, as its a sign that Calipari has zeroed in on Herro, irrespective of how it might impact other players on his wish list.

It's also a big development for Herro, who didn't keep his interest in Kentucky a secret, even when the Wildcats were just starting to reach out.

Earlier today Herro told Evans, speaking of his interest in Kentucky, “They get guys to the league. The tradition of Kentucky basketball is obviously tremendous. The resources that they have along with Coach (John) Calipari and Coach (Kenny) Payne I think would make for a great spot. It is definitely a good option.”

Cats Illustrated and Rivals.com will have more on this developing story.

Calipari was also expected to visit five-star forward Zion Williamson today.
