Blazer junior Beach offered scholarship by footbal

Ashland Blazer's Arliss Beach, who rushed for more than 1,700 yards as a junior last season, has been offered a football scholarship by the University of Kentucky.
Beach, a 6-foot, 185-pound running back and defensive back, also played point guard on the Tomcats' Sweet Sixteen basketball team. He runs sprints for the track team and owns a 3.8 grade-point average.
Beach is at least the fourth junior in the state to be offered a scholarship by UK Coach Guy Morriss. Johnson Central defensive lineman Paul Webb committed to the Cats this week. Bell County linebacker Durrell White and Lexington Catholic defensive back Jake Carney have also been offered.
