NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Arkansas defeated a red-hot Vanderbilt club 76-62 in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament to setup a rematch with eighth-ranked Kentucky in the finals. The Wildcats won by 26 points in Rupp Arena in early January during the only meeting between the two teams.
The Razorbacks enter the game as winners of eight of their last nine. Kentucky (28-5) has won 10 in a row and are in search of its third straight SEC Tournament championship.
It'll be the fourth time in SEC Tournament history that Kentucky and Arkansas (25-8) have met in the finals. The Wildcats defeated Arkansas 78-63 in the SEC championship in 2015.
"We got a lot of confidence and we're not too much worried about what Kentucky is doing," Arkansas coach Mike Anderson said. "We're worrying about what we're doing."
