Preview Podcast:Publisher Brett Dawson, Recruiting Editor Steve Jones and Staff Writers T.J. Walker and Aaron Smith break down their expectations of Alex Poythress.
Rewind: Poythress committed in November and established himself as one of the best recruits in the nation (No. 8 overall). He showcased his offensive game with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting in the 2012 McDonald's High School All-American game.
Fast Forward: Poythress is expected to be a talented, versatile wing player who can play either forward position. He's at his best around or attacking the rim, a skill that seems well-suited for John Calipari's preferred style of play.
John Calipari says: "He's going to be another wing that runs and can make plays and can score the ball. Shoots it good. We've got to get him more consistent."
