2018 QB with Kentucky offer worked out for Hinshaw

Kevin Doyle is one of the Class of 2018 quarterbacks with an offer from Kentucky.

He has been to Kentucky several times in the past, but this weekend was his first time at the school since Darin Hinshaw's arrival as quarterback coach.

Doyle arrived at Kentucky around lunchtime on the day of his camp performance recently, and he spent much of the day on a golf cart touring the campus and facilities.

"We saw the campus, the dorms, the old football facilities and we saw the new football facilities," Doyle said. "The new facilities, I really like them. We went in the building and they weren't totally done being constructed yet. They still have to paint a few things but it looks really cool. The new weight room is awesome. It's huge, so that was good to see."

Then there was the camp, and Doyle said the Cats' quarterback coach was happy with the performance he turned in.

"Coach Hinshaw said that I did very well and he was pleased with everything I did," Doyle said. "He liked my arm strength, my footwork and my size. He was just pleased with everything. Nothing but good things from him.

"I thought working with Coach Hinshaw was great," Doyle added. "The drills he did were different from all the other ones (other coaches do). I really liked all he did."

Next week Doyle will be attending a satellite camp that will include coaches from Michigan, Pitt and Syracuse. He will then travel down to Georgia for a camp.
