2018 Michigan quarterback will camp at Kentucky

Dearborn, Mich., is home to Class of 2018 quarterback Theo Day, a promising passer from Divine Child High School.

Day is still waiting for offers but it's early in his recruitment and he's planning to camp at some schools this summer. Kentucky is one of the places he will visit.

The 6-foot-5, 185-pound rising high school junior told Cats Illustrated early this week that he's locked in for a camp in Lexington.

"Arkansas, Michigan State, Toledo, Miami (Ohio) and Kentucky are the only (camps) set right now," Day said in an exchange of messages with Cats Illustrated on Monday.

It's too early to say how much interest Kentucky might have in Day.

The Cats' staff has been in touch with the staff at Divine Child, but there hasn't been direct contact with the 2018 quarterback.

"My coach has been in contact with their offensive coordinator and I'll be down at camp the 4th of June," Day said.

It's also too early to say how much interest Day has in the Cats. Those were Day's words on the subject -- "too early to say."

"Just want to get down to campus," he said.
