Mark Stoops received good news on Thursday about an hour before Kentucky took on Auburn.
2017 three-star quarterback Walker Wood from Lafayette High School in Lexington, Ky., announced his commitment to the Wildcats on Twitter.

Wood was offered by Kentucky last Thursday. He also held an offer from Louisville.
He's rated as the No. 2 player in Kentucky, one spot behind his teammate and five-star offensive lineman [db]Jedrick Wills[/db]. Wood is ranked as the No. 14 dual threat quarterback in the junior class.
Kentucky is recruiting Wood as an athlete.
