The Kentucky baseball team picked up one of its most impressive commitments to date on Friday night. Edmond, Okla., infielder Kaden Polcovich, a former University of Oklahoma commit, gave his commitment to the Wildcats.
Kaden is the son of Kevin Polcovich, a former shortstop at the University of Florida who was a part of the Gators' 1991 College World Series team. He went on to play two seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Perfect Game ranks Polcovich as a top 250 recruit nationally and the seventh-ranked player in Oklahoma. He's listed as a 5-foot-10, 180 pound switch hitter with above average speed, gap to gap power with the ability to hit for power in the future.
A source told Cats Illustrated that Polcovich was being recruited by Arizona, Arizona State, South Carolina, Arkansas, Kansas State, West Virginia and Oklahoma State.
