Stars of Alabama: Week 5
Player of the Week: Garrett Lewis, quarterback, Sipsey Valley High School
Garrett Lewis had more than 500 yards of offense in a 54-47 win against Curry. Lewis passed for 340 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed 11 times for 203 yards and a touchdown.

John David Jennings, running back, Gaylesville High School
Jennings rushed for 340 yards on 27 carries and four touchdowns in a 40-13 win against Coosa Christian.
Jeremy Johnson, quarterback, Carver High School in Montgomery
Johnson completed 20-of-29 for 338 yards and five touchdowns in a 51-14 win against Tri-Cities (Ga.). He had 39 yards rushing and was on the receiving end of a 40-yard pass.
Aaron Dillard, running back, Hubbertville High School
Dillard had 27 rushing attempts for 264 yards and a touchdown in a 27-26 win against Shoals Christian. He had a three yard touchdown reception and kicked three extra points.
Joel Poe, quarterback, Spanish Fort High School
Poel completed 21-of-29 for 296 yards and four touchdowns in a 31-21 win against Fairhope High School.
Jesse Blackburn, wide receiver/defensive back, Gardendale High School
Blackburn had nine catches for 130 yards and a touchdown. He added two interceptions and six tackles on defense in a 31-30 win against Briarwood Christian.
Clancy Brown, linebacker, Berry High School
Brown recorded 28 tackles and scored the game winning 10-yard touchdown in overtime for a 50-42 win against Lamar County High School.
Traveon Samuel, running back, Central High School of Phenix City
Samuel had 164 yards rushing on nine carries with four touchdowns in a 33-31 win against East Coweta High School of Ga. He also had nine receptions for 109 yards.
Nick Bell, wide receiver, Priceville High School
Bell had four receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown. He kicked two extra points and had the game winning 36 yard field goal with 10 seconds remaining in the game to win against Danville High School, 17-15.
Tucker Jones, quarterback, Demopolis High School
Jones passed for 226 yards and three touchdowns in a 27-26 win against Thomasville High School. He also rushed for 100 yards and a score.
Cameron Echols-Luper, quarterback, Auburn High School
The Texas A&M commitment completed 8-of-11 for 108 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed 15 times for 132 yards and a touchdown. He added a 65 yard fumble return for a touchdown in a 49-24 win at Gadsden City High School.
Blake Byrd, quarterback, Corner High School
Byrd had 388 yards of total offense and four touchdowns in a 28-22 win against Hayden High School. He was 14-of-21 for 269 yards and two touchdowns. He added 119 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. Teammate Kerry Smith had nine receptions for 209 yards and two touchdowns.
Rodney Camp, quarterback, Phillips High School
Camp put up eye-popping numbers for the second week in a row. He completed 19-of-27 for 263 yards and three touchdowns. He added 22 rushing attempts for 218 yards and two touchdowns in a 58-44 win against Phil Campbell High School. He had six tackles on defense.
Courtland Lewis, running back, Ramsay High School
Lewis rushed for 79 yards on two carries. He scored the game winning two-point conversion in a 42-40 triple overtime win against Carver High School of Birmingham. His stats weren't mind boggling, but it was the first time Ramsay won a game since 1976 after restarting their program this season.
Terrance Hollingsworth, athlete, Berry High School
Hollingsworth rushed for 133 yards and four touchdowns, had 103 yards receiving and 140 kick return yards in a 50-42 overtime win against Lamar County High School.
George Payne, running back, St. Luke's High SChool
Payne rushed for 329 yards on 30 carries and five touchdowns in a 42-19 win against St. Jude High School.
Nicolas Jackson, defensive end, Wenonah High School
Jackson recorded 12 tackles, three for loss and five sacks in a 20-6 win against Huffman High School.
