Mangus Visits Georgia DE

Marietta (Ga.) Walton defensive end Brandon Burrows has seen his stock explode in the past couple of months, picking up offers from a host of top programs. Carolina assistant G.A. Mangus visited Burrows recently at his school.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder talked with GamecockCentral.com about the first-year Gamecock coach's visit.

"Yes sir, he (Mangus) came to my school last week," the talented senior said. "I got an offer and that makes thirteen for me."

Burrows was happy to receive the offer.

"I'm excited about it," he said. "I don't know very much about them but I watched them play this season. I thought they had a really aggressive defense."

The Peach State defender has a top four in mind.

"Right now, it's kind of like Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Oklahoma," he said.

There is one place in his top four that he has not yet visited.

"I've been to all of the places except Oklahoma," he told GamecockCentral.com "I think I may do that this summer."

Burrows' teammate, defensive tackle Kyle Woestmann, has also picked up a tender from the Gamecocks.

There is no decision time frame for the lineman.

"I'm not too sure at all actually," he said of when he will decide.

There are a couple of factors that Burrows will consider to make his choice.

"How I fit in with the system and the coaches," he said. "Academics are always important as well."
