Versatile Jersey prospect visits Iowa

New Jersey native Doug Rigg currently holds two scholarship offers, one to play on each side of the football. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Rigg has a chance to play outside linebacker at Iowa or line up at fullback for Rutgers and may have more offers on the way. This past week, the versatile prospect made a visit out to Iowa City to get a closer look at the Hawkeyes.

Rigg, who received an offer from the Hawkeyes in early March, was on campus last Saturday along with several other recruits from around the country. The group had a chance to tour the football facilities and watch the team at work in spring practice, among other things.

Along with Iowa and Rutgers, Rigg is receiving interest from several other schools, including Wisconsin, Purdue, Boston College, West Virginia, and Connecticut. While it may be no surprise, the two programs that have offered currently sit at the top of his list. Right now, Rigg plans to wait and take all of his official visits before making a decision.
