Georgia 2010 RB picks up first offer

It was only a matter of time for Storm Johnson and that time has come. The talented junior running back has been receiving letters from schools across the country for months and he has picked up his first scholarship offer.

"Stanford is the first school to offer me," said Johnson. "They have been recruiting for a while and sending me a lot of mail since the beginning of the season and they have now offered me."

"I have started to research Stanford a little bit since they offered and I found out that they graduate 93 percent of their student-athletes. That is very impressive. They are a great academic school, they run the ball in their offense, and they play against good competition out there."

Stanford may be the first to offer the 6-foot-0, 212 pound back, but they definitely will not be the last. He will be one of the top prospects in the Peach State next fall and he hearing from a long list of schools.

"Alabama, Michigan, LSU, Clemson, Georgia, Miami, UCLA, Ohio State, Florida, and FSU are some of the schools sending me a lot of mail and showing a lot of interest."

"I have seen Arkansas, Georgia, LSU, Georgia Tech, and Clemson out at our games this year, so those schools have seen me play in person."

When schools show up, that changes nothing for Johnson.
