Love Provides Recruiting Update

A running back can be a player on a roster sheet that can solidify a team's offense and make a good team become a great one.

Everyone is looking for their next great back and there could be one right in the backyard of North Carolina.

The 5-9, 180 pound running back, Bryce Love has had his recruitment picked up in the last few months, as first reported when TarheelIllustrated talked to him during the Rivals Camp Series in Charlotte.

But this won't be the only time you hear his name, as THI has been on Love sense North Carolina offered the young stud.

Love currently holds offers from Tennessee, Duke, North Carolina, NC State, Clemson, East Carolina, Appalachian State, Arkansas, and Virginia Tech and all seem to be in play according to Love.

"All schools are really stopping by and visiting to speak with my coaches, so I feel as if they're all showing interest."

However, Love had a few words when asked about North Carolina, a place where he seems high on according to his latest statement.
"UNC actually was one of the first to offer and I feel as if they like me," Love said. "They say I'm going to be a great addition to the program and I appreciate the family aspect Coach (Larry) Fedora emphasizes."

Love seems to like how close Chapel Hill is to home and what Coach Randy Jordan and Coach Ron West has been telling him about North Carolina.

Love has been making multiple visits to North Carolina in the past and plans on heading back to Chapel Hill over the summer if possible. However, Love has also taken visits to Duke on multiple occasions and he seemed to enjoy the staff and campus while visiting.

He has also made visits to Virginia Tech earlier in the year and East Carolina, both great programs Love repeated.

Overall though, Love has been hard at work in the offseason, as he has been working on multiple assets of his game, trying to become the overall great runner before heading off to college. Areas Love has focused on has been his footwork, overall body strength, his cuts and direction change on the field, vision, quickness, and explosiveness.

Every player will have their strengths but in order to become a great one, a player always has to try to improve in all areas of his game. Even though Love has heard that he is a quick running back that really can hit the hole, along with his strength, he wants to continue to get better.

Love was one of the few backs that were featured on Wake Forest-Rolesville High School, as head coach Reggie Lucas had three guys over 100 carries on the team, with Love being the leading rusher on the team with 977 yards on 110 carries.

With so many players though graduating Wake Forest-Rolesville, Love will undoubtedly be one of the leaders on the offense next year, looking to "take my team places they've never been and reach a few personal goals" on his own.

Coach Jordan seems to be in on Love and will be looking to keep in contact with the young running back.

However, Love still reiterates that there are no leaders right now for his talents, but Love did say back in April at the Rivals Camp Series that he plans on narrowing his list during his junior year and probably will be making his decision around his senior season.

TarheelIllustrated though will keep in touch with the running back in North Carolina, as he will be one of the guys that UNC will continue to recruit in the coming years.
