New teams interested in Kobena

Bronx (NY) Cardinal Hayes running back Jeremiah Kobena committed to the Orange in July in the middle over a crazy two week period that saw eight prospects pick the Orange. CuseConfidential.com caught up with the prospect to see how his season is going among other items.

"So far so good we are 5-0," Kobena said. "For me I think the season is going well, but I still feel I need to do more. Right now I know I have about 14 touchdowns and I am not sure of the yards."

Even though he is in the midst of leading his team to the playoffs the two star prospect has been keeping a close eye on his future team.

"I watch and learn. I watch and learn from the guys that are already there. Even though the game is moving at a fast pace on television I am still able to learn and pick up some stuff."

Now that he is learning from what he sees on the field what are his opinions of the team he sees on the field?

"I have been watching all of their games. I think they still need to improve in some areas. They need more speed around the ball."

Despite already committing to Syracuse in July a strong performance this season has a few schools poking around a little bit to learn more about the Empire State product.

"James Madison, Rutgers, Boston College, and Hofstra have came in and shown me interest."

Do any of those new schools pose a threat to the Orange? It does not seem likely as Kobena answered that question with a short response.

"Nah, I am Orange."

After the high school season Kobena will try to make his official visit to Syracuse and he has a time frame in mind.

"I am trying to get my official visit scheduled for December."
