Hogs fall to Houston, 87-78





BOX SCORE: Arkansas 87, Houston 78

Arkansas only trailed Houston for 18 seconds in the first half Friday night in North Little Rock's Verizon Arena, but the Cougars dominated the second half and came away with an 87-78 win.

The Hogs only turned it over 3 times in the second half, 10 times for the game, compared to 20 turnovers for Houston, but ultimately the Cougars just out-shot and out-rebounded the Razorbacks.

"We certainly are disappointed we didn't come away with the win, but let's give Houston some credit," Anderson said. "I thought in the second half, they took the fight to us. And the fight was, seemed like it was on the offensive glass."

Houston hit 31 of 59 field goals (52.5 percent), including 7 of 16 from 3-point range (43.8 percent) and 18 of 23 from the free throw line (78.3 percent). The Cougars out-rebounded the Hogs 23-10 in the second half while the Razorbacks hit 28 of 65 field goal attempts (43.1 percent) and just 4 of 17 from downtown (23.5 percent). Arkansas also had its worst free throw shooting night of the season, 18 of 29 (62.1 percent).
