Cleveland has the best starting pitching in the Majors. They are 7 deep in starters & will bring up Jeremy Sowers(Vanderbilt) to beat the Reds tonight. I will be watching two games at the same time. Reds & Indians on TV & Cats & Rebels on my computer.

Well I think Cueto breaks out of his slump tonight and Harang gets another strong outing w/run support against Carmona, but I keep thinking Volquez is due a bad outing and that comes Sunday agains Cliff Lee. Reds take 2/3.

Cliff Lee has a career 5.00+ ERA against the Reds.

so TCPUKChamps do you think we can sweep then? I do think Cueto gives them a strong performance tonight.

Annual Beating?
2007 Season Series 3-3 2006 Season Series 3-3 2005 Season Series 2-4 2004 Season Series 2-4 2003 Season Series 1-2 2001 Season Series 3-3 2000 Season series 3-3 1999 Season Series 2-4 1998 Season Series 1-2 1997 Season Series 2-1
Cleveland obviously has the edge but to call it an annual beating is 100% false

Annual beating? The Reds have won like 7 of the past 8 series with the Indians.

They have wore him out in the past, but this year Lee has the best ERA in the AL. Plus, Reds stink against lefty's especially with Kepp gone. Dusty's will probably go with both Dunn and Griffey sunday's game which will add 5 more K's to the lineup.

Reds always win 1 or 2 out of 6. They beat a minor league pitcher tonight that was brought up from Buffalo for this game.
Posted on 5/16 11:19 PM | IP: Logged
So the best pitching staff in the majors has to rely on a minor league call-up?

dude you just talked about them having the best pitching staff in the big leagues and how they were going to bring up Sowers to beat them...then you tell us that it doesn't matter because the Indians ran a minor leaguer out there?
you =

Dunn is lucky- Cleveland has bullpen problems. However there are 4 games left in the Series & besides Cleveland is in first place & the Reds are looking up from the usual spot in the rear.
Posted on 5/17 8:08 PM | IP: Logged
The Reds and Indians place in the standings doesn't really have much to do with the fact that Cincinnati knocked them off two straight.
GBB!!!
Posted on 5/17 8:13 PM | IP: Logged
The Tribe is 22-21. The Reds are 20-23.
2 games searate them. Don't act like the Reds don't belong on the field with them.

Excuses, excuses... Tribe have been treated like the little Sister they are in Ohio. Your thread was titled " annual beating", looks like you just had the teams wrong this season. Tribe don't look too good so far.

Thank god for interleague play so the reds could finally get a breather..
Posted on 5/18 2:00 AM | IP: Logged
Cleveland also has hitting problems. Most guys are barely batting their weight.
How about David Dellucci in the 3 hole. Brilliant. Casey Blake anyone? Travis Hafner? LMAO. Peralta? Garko? A whopping 3 guys batting over .268 and one of them(Fransico) has only played in 13 games or he'd be in the tank.
Do you think Cliff will start having nightmares from now on when he knows he is about to face the Redlegs???
Seriously though Gabewcat...you are a douchebag, GREAT CALL!

How did the Reds do that? I mean, the Indians have, like, 7 aces on their starting staff! And Jeremy Sowers is Cy Young incarnate! Man, the Reds are soooooooo lucky!
Oh well. The Reds always win 12 3 games out of 6. And Cleveland is still on top of their division in second place to the White Sox, while the Reds are still cellar dwellars 4th in their division thanks to all those lucky breaks this weekend.
