I agree 100% that there was no intent in disgracing the many proud men who sacrificed so much during WWII with this photoshop whatsoever. This thread honors John Wall by placing him in situations in our history where the 'artists' imagines the "enigma" of John Wall, due to his immense talents, adding to the story. That's all. No malicious intent intended whatsoever, not in our big blue blood here.
This thread has been nothing but fun for 10 pages so far and I don't see anything changing moving forward.
The theme of this thread is, IMO, to place John Wall in exceptional situations.
I compare it all and think that this thread is much aligned with what the producers did with the whole Forrest Gump story: re-writing exceptional history with an exceptional person/character. Its not meant to be anything -BUT- honoring our history with someone that all of us are proud to associate ourselves with here.
I actually had 2nd thoughts of placing John Wall in the Lee Harvey Oswald shooting photoshop which I did months ago but I thought to myself that this thread transcends history and time with well known images, like John Wall is doing with his short stint at the University of Kentucky.
Are we OK here now?
