The beginning of fall camp also signifies the official arrival of Texas Tech's 2009 signees, one of the most heralded signing classes in the program's history. In recognition of this fact, we will focus on a new freshman every day through the end of fall camp.

Up first? Linebacker Dion Chidozie out of Dallas (TX) Bishop Lynch. It was thought that he might be a redshirt candidate, but the 6-foot-1, 194-pound speed demon may be utilized this fall on special teams.

HOW HAVE YOUR FIRST TWO DAYS OF PRACTICE GONE?

"They've been pretty good just learning more than anything from the leaders like Brian Duncan and trying to do what they do."

IS IT AT ALL DIFFERENT FROM WHAT YOU EXPECTED?

"It's a lot faster, it's quick, really quick and I'm just trying to adjust to it now."

WHERE DOES COACH MCNEILL HAVE YOU LINING UP?

"Weakside linebacker."

HOW MUCH HAS MARLON WILLIAMS HELPED YOU OVER THESE FIRST FEW DAYS OF PRACTICE?

"He has helped me out a lot just when I do something wrong giving me some pointers even when I do it right just keep getting the little things right."

LOOKING BACK, WHAT WAS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT FROM YOUR HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL CAREER?

"Beating one of our rivals, Nolan Catholic at their place. We hadn't beaten them in three years and we got a chance to go and jump on their logo and dancing all over it after the game."

DO YOU HAVE A PREGAME RITUAL?

"I have to have three bottles of water before each game."

DO YOU HAVE A NICKNAME?

"DC, Deuce and Primetime, but those are just a few high school nicknames."

DURING THE RECRUITING PROCESS, WHAT PARTS OF THE PROGRAM WERE YOU THE MOST IMPRESSED WITH?

"The facilities and how many guys would come into the weight room and into the film room when it wasn't even required for them to come. It was that early. I came here (visited) in January and they were just getting ready for August."

IS THERE ANY SPECIAL SIGNIFICANCE OR STORY BEHIND YOUR CHOICE OF JERSEY NUMBER (23)?

"No not really. They kind of just gave it to me, but I can work with it."

WHO IS THE FUNNIEST GUY IN YOUR SIGNING CLASS?

"I think its Kerry Hyder."

WHAT'S YOUR STRONGEST ATTRIBUTE AS A PLAYER?

"Speed rush and my speed and I think that has helped me out so far, but I need to work on the other mechanics."

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO WORK ON THE MOST DURING FALL CAMP?

"How to throw my hips and working on coverage."

HAVE YOU NOTICED ANY PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES OR CHANGES AFTER SPENDING THE SUMMER GOING THROUGH THE OFFSEASON PROGRAM WITH BENNIE?

"I feel stronger and you feel good when you get bigger. The ladies like it."

WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF THE SUMMER FOR YOU?

"The end, when you have all the eight weeks accomplished and knowing you have been their for practice every single day."

HOW HAS YOUR ADJUSTMENT TO LIFE IN LUBBOCK BEEN SO FAR?

"It's crazy! The smell sometimes at nights and when it storms it floods since there aren't any storm drains that is a little different than in Dallas."

"Rosa's."
