May 28, 2008 Kentucky travels to Ann Arbor, Mich. this weekend for its second NCAA Tournament regional appearance in three seasons. The Cats drew host and No. 2-seeded Michigan in Friday night's opener with top-seeded Arizona facing Eastern Michigan in the early game."At this stage of the game, I don't want it to be a celebration for the University of Kentucky to get in the NCAA Tournament," UK coach John Cohen said. "I want it to be expected, from (Athletics Director) Mitch Barnhart all the way down to our student managers, to everybody. "I'm really proud of what we're building here. But we've got to win a regional. That"s the next step for our program to make a jump." The Cats will send ace left-hander Chris Rusin (6-2, 2.84 ERA) to the mound just 20 minutes from his hometown. Rusin sat out last week's Southeastern Conference Tournament with a tender arm but is said to be 100 percent for the regional. Michigan could possibly throw ace Zach Putnam (8-0, 2.64 ERA) and boasts a gaudy 45-12 overall record. For more on the Ann Arbor Regional click the link below to find Rivals.com's regional insider.
