John Wall arrived at Kentucky as the biggest star in the 2009 freshman class, the projected top overall pick in next June's National Basketball Association Draft and the type of transcendent player who can lift an entire program. Eric Bledsoe swooped into Lexington somewhat under the radar despite being a Top 25 prospect in his own right, arguably the second best point guard in the same class. Conventional wisdom suggested the two players would never thrive in the same backcourt.
