The Michigan coaching staff has extended close to 150 scholarship offers already in the class of 2010, but one position they have lightly recruited until this point is tight end. On Tuesday, however, the Wolverines extended an offer to Cincinnati (Ohio) Elder tight end Alex Welch.

Michigan had been recruiting Welch well before yesterday's offer came through and the Cincinnati native has already made a couple visits to Ann Arbor.
