Salubi is ready to go
Football fans in Waco, Texas have grown to know the name Jarred Salubi over the last few years, as he weaves his way through defenses for the Waco High Lions.
He has been a standout since stepping foot on the field. As a sophomore he was the only sophomore named 13-5A All-District (Victor Johnson and Steven Welch were named Newcomers of the Year) when he was honored on the first-team in 2005. He followed up his sophomore effort by rushing for 1,544 yards and 17 touchdowns on his way to 16-4A Co-Offensive MVP honors.
Sunday night the 5-10, 195-pound Waco standout let it be known he was sticking around Waco and play his college football at Baylor. For Salubi there were several reasons he chose the Bears over offers from Rice, Texas Tech, Missouri, and Iowa State.
