Prep Update: Record setting weekend for Terry

SpartanMag.com Several Spartan commitments for the class of 2103 had big games on the field this weekend. SpartanMag.com has all the details on all of the future Michigan State Spartans including quarterback Damion Terry of Erie Cathedral Prep.
TE Dylan Chmura of Waukesha West High School, Wisconsin
Waukesha West defeated Waterford High School by a score of 14-12 in the 1st round of the playoffs. Chmura had a 25-yard touchdown catch in the victory.
DE Demetrius Cooper of Chicago Julian High School, Illinois
Cooper did not play this weekend and his senior season is over. Between transfer issues and the Chicago teacher strike he only played in 1 game this year.
OT Dennis Finley of Detroit Cass Tech High School, Michigan
The Technicians got back on track and improved to 7-2 on the season by defeating University of Detroit Jseuit by a score of 26-2. Cass Tech will now set their sights on a return to Ford Field and defending their title.
WR Jay Harris of Downingtown East High School, Pennsylvania
The Spartans 2-star recruit helped Downingtown East improve to 8-0 on the season by defeating arch-rival Downingtown West. Harris had 9 receptions for 147 yards and scored 2 touchdowns. He also carried the ball 4 times for 15 yards and had a 38-yard punt return. Harris now has 45 catches for 686-yards and 12 touchdowns on the season.
CB Darian Hicks of Solon High School, Ohio
Solon High School lost to Brunswick High School by a score of 31-19. The loss dropped Solon to 4-5 on the season. Hicks did not score in the contest which was really not as close as the score indicated.
RB Gerald Holmes of Flint Carman-Ainsworth, Michigan
Carman-Ainsworth defeated Davison High School by a score of 49-21. Holmes rushed for 96-yards and scored 2 touchdowns in the win. The Cavaliers are now 8-1 and primed for the playoffs.
LB Shane Jones of Cincinnati Moeller High School, Ohio
Archbishop Moeller lost to undefeated St. Edwards by a score of 49-42. Moeller was leading 42-12 at one point. St Edwards is 9-0 and ranked one of the top teams in the nation. The schedule does not get any easier as next week Moeller plays Louisville Trinity which is undefeated and ranked #1 in Kentucky.
WR Trey Kilgore of Cincinnati St. Xavier High School, Ohio
St. Xavier lost to top ranked Cleveland St Ignatius by a score of 32-12. The Bombers actually led this game by a score of 21-6 at halftime. The loss dropped St. Xavier to 5-4 on the season and they will need to beat St Xavier (Kentucky) to have a shot at the playoffs.
DB Jalyn Powell of Warren Haring High School, Ohio
Harding won its 8th straight game by defeating Bedford High School by a score of 15-0. The win gave Harding the League Championship. Powell helped keep Bedford out of the endzone as the Raiders improved 8-1.
LB Jon Reschke of Brother Rice High School, Michigan
Brother Rice improved to 7-2 on the season by defeating Niagara Academy by a score of 38-13. The score was 38-0 when the Warriors pulled most of the starters. Rice will now prepare for a defense of their state title.
DT Devyn Salmon of Plant City High School, Florida
Plant City fell to 3-4 on the season as the lost to East Bay High School by a score of 24-12. Plant City turned the ball over several times in the redzone.
RB R.J. Shelton of Beaver Dam High School, Wisconsin
Shelton's season is over.
QB Damion Terry of Erie Cathedral Prep High School, Pennsylvania
Terry continues his record setting run on Friday night as he threw 6 touchdown passes in a 61-19 win over Central Tech High school. Terry now has 31 touchdown passes and 2 INT's in 8 games. Terry also ran for a touchdown in the game. Terry now has 2135-yards passing on the season and will likely eclipse the 6000-yard mark next weekend. Cathedral Prep is now 8-0 and ranked #1 in Pennsylvania Class AAA.
ATH Delton Williams of Erie Cathedral Prep High School, Pennsylvania
Williams found the endzone twice on Friday night as he caught 2 TD's passes from Terry. Williams continues to make plays on both sides of the ball. The combination of Terry and Williams is one Spartan fans will be excited to see in East Lansing.
