Ole Miss preview
Last month Mississippi State lost to instate rival Ole Miss for the first time since 2009.
Tonight the 19th ranked Bulldogs will try to bounce back at 6 p.m. inside the friendly confines of Humphrey Coliseum where Rick Stansbury has lost only once to the Rebels in his 14-years at the helm.
Stansbury is 12-1 against Ole Miss at home and 20-8 overall, the most wins against any one opponent. MSU leads the overall series 138-106 and is 24-3 in Starkville over the last 27 outings there. The Bulldogs have won five of the last six in the series.
However the Rebels were able to break that streak at Tad Smith Coliseum on Jan. 18 with a 75-68 victory. Ole Miss received a 19 points and 15 rebounds from forward Reginald Buckner and drained 10 3-pointers in the win. Renardo Sidney was the Bulldogs leading scorer with 17 points.
