Preview
Vanderbilt got itself above .500 for the first time all year in Southeastern Conference play by defeating league-leading Alabama by an 81-77 score on Saturday. Now, the Commodores need a win against Eastern Division rival Kentucky if it wants to entertain any shot at a conference title.
The visiting Wildcats, also 5-4 in league play, find themselves in the same position. UK lost consecutive road games at Ole Miss and Florida, before recovering to beat Tennessee, 73-61, in Knoxville on Feb. 8.
