Lebo adds star power to signee class
Jeff Lebo hit it big on the first day of the early signing period with commitments from four-star big man Shawn Kemp and three-star small forward Allen Payne.
The additions added some star power to Auburn's 2010 class that totaled six signees.
"I think those two are the top two players in the class," Rivals.com national basketball recruiting analyst Jerry Meyer said. "They give the class a little bit of pop, a little bit of power. It's a deep class and Auburn has a lot of positions covered by it."
The 6-foot-9, 235-pound Kemp averaged 12 points and eight rebounds and blocked 78 shots for Cherokee High School in Canton, Ga., last year. The oldest son of former NBA All-Star Shawn Kemp, the younger Kemp will play this season at Hargrave Military Academy.
